Gokulam Kerala FC is a professional football club based in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. Established in 2017, the club competes in the second tier of Indian football, the I-League and the top tier of Indian Women’s Football, the Indian Women’s League (IWL). With a relatively short history, Gokulam Kerala FC has quickly made a name for itself both domestically and internationally, captivating fans with its exciting brand of football and commitment to nurturing local talent. They made history by winning the 2020–21 I-League, becoming the first club from Kerala to achieve this feat. Additionally, they became the first team to successfully defend their league title in the 2021–22 season. In 2022, Gokulam Kerala also became the first and only club from the state to qualify for a continental competition, the AFC Cup. GKFC is the only club to participate in all levels of the national league – Senior division, Elite League, Junior league, Sub-Junior League, Women’s league and grassroots league.
The club’s journey began when Gokulam Group, a prominent business conglomerate based in Kerala, decided to invest in football and establish a team that could compete at the highest level. The club was officially founded in May 2017 and made its debut in the I-League, India’s premier football league, during the 2017-18 season. Despite being a newcomer, Gokulam Kerala FC quickly asserted its presence in Indian football, showcasing its potential with spirited performances on the field

Our Stadium
The EMS Stadium, situated in Kozhikode, Kerala, India, is a versatile venue primarily utilized for football matches. It served as the home ground for the I-League team Gokulam Kerala FC, as well as their IWL women’s team. Constructed in 1977, the stadium boasts a capacity of 50,000 spectators. It is named in honor of E. M. S. Namboodiripad, the first Chief Minister of Kerala. Over the years, the stadium has hosted numerous significant football tournaments, including the Super Cup, Santhosh Trophy, and Sait Nagjee Football tournament.
Gokulam Kerala FC has been using the EMS Stadium as their home ground since 2017 and has enjoyed success there, notably winning their first I-League home match against East Bengal FC with a score of 2–1. It holds significant records, including a record attendance for Gokulam Kerala FC, with 32,246 spectators attending the Gokulam vs Minerva Punjab match during the Hero I-League 2018-19 campaign.
