Gokulam Kerala FC hereby confirm that our next I League home match against Indian Arrows will be held behind closed doors. The ILeague match is scheduled on March 15 at EMS Corporation Stadium. Gokulam also host Mohun Bagan in April and the match will be held behind closed door as of now.

Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has ordered to avoid allowing gathering of people, including spectators due to concerns of global outbreak of Corona virus Covid 19. Gokulam Kerala FC share the concern and it was decided in a meeting with the AIFF that the matches can be played behind closed doors.

Gokulam Kerala FC president VC Praveen said: “The health of our people and wider public is of paramount importance for us. Our team is in touch with football associations, the AIFF government officials, and relevant district and state authorities for the conduct of the match.

“We will miss our fans and crowd at our home ground but we are not able to find any other option.”

Gokulam Kerala FC CEO B. Ashok Kumar said: “We in the meeting with the AIFF have stressed about the public concerns about the Corona virus outbreak, which has been officially declared pandemic by the WHO. At this moment, we should give importance to public health concerns and it is clear that we will have to play behind closed doors. If there is any other update, the same will be informed to our supports.”

The match between Gokulam Kerala FC and Indian Arrow will be telecast live on various platforms.
